Morning Sun: Trumpeter Tracks and Eagles

March 2, 2014

The sun came over the mountain and lit the Trumpeter Swans.  I was sitting against an old log  on a warm winter morning watching swans.   Swans are special.  I don’t know if I can explain that but I doubt you need an explanation. I hope these photos give some indication of just how special swans really are.

These tracks in the snow show that where the swans ran across the snow to take flight.

I eventually had to leave to tackle the more mundane part of my day. But as I did, a Bald Eagle flew over – another magnificent bird bathed in morning sun.

All in all, a great way to start the day.
