Spring!
Spring! at last!
A pair of merlins call out to each other as they wing over the park; brilliant yellow skunk cabbage breaks through fragrent spring muck; bald eagles mate after adding yet another stick to their nest; the yellow glacier lilies are blooming; brilliant blue mountain bluebirds are moving through and the swallows are back! A tattered, faded Compton’s Tortoiseshell butterfly wakes after a long winter and flits once again through the sunshine.
I do love spring!
