Winter Beavers…and the Cougar

All seems quiet at the park lately. But the wildlife cams tell a different story.
The beavers have been busy feeding kits, excavating and building. Their tracks, chewed sticks, chiseled stumps – and what might be the beginnings of a dam – all give evidence to their industry.
But beavers are also a hearty meal for a cougar. The beaver in these latest two clips would be wise to watch out for cougars in future sorties.
The park is deceptively quiet. The beaver might argue that the night is actually alive with sound – and danger.
