Fishing Bears

Bears and fish! There are about four bears foraging on the Kokanee Salmon at Kokanee Creek this fall. Kokanee Nature Investigators had four trail cameras overlooking the spawning channel and we captured some nice video clips of fishing bears. There is one cub who looks a little daunted by catching the fish. Other bears just jump into it – literally. And then there are the calm, probably experienced bears who watch and knab the fish they want. It isn’t easy being a bear. Or a salmon when a bear is around!
