Watching the Dippers

July 10, 2013

The Dipper young at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park are growing. And the young naturalists – Jerry’s Rangers – are getting the opportunity to watch these amazing little birds.

The Dipper young are growing here at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park. Our young naturalists – Jerry’s Rangers – take treks out to see the nest and watch the parents feeding. Along the way we have heard Hermit Thrushes, seen many mushrooms and bracket fungi, the Indian Pipe growing in the woods and, of course, Giant Black Slugs!

And – I haven’t even mentioned the butterflies, squirrels and the numerous other things there are to see at the Park. We are all having a great time – and summer has just started!
