Osprey Athletics, Turtles in the Sun, Mule Deer and More!

May 22, 2013

Spring has certainly been showing off  lately. It is raining today and I thought I’d share some photos while I wait for the rain to slow down a bit. The Osprey pairs have been “tusling” mid-air and I caught one of the birds upside down in the air. Very cool to watch – the photo isn’t great but it does show their aerobatic abilities. Imagine being able to fly like that! The turtles continue enjoying the sun, the mule deer frequent the mountain trails,  the Black-headed Grosbeaks sing their gorgeous song and the Mourning Cloaks continue to feast on flower nectar.

Enjoy the photos!
