Star-born
flaring his feathers
This place
is star-born.
This is our land,
our home.
Call to the trees.
Call to the river.
Call to the water and land.
Call to the soul of the earth.
And listen.
This is our home.
We are her people.
Without
the trees
the rivers and water-
the land-
Her people
Golden-Crowned Kinglet
scatter-
Like leaves
in a spring torrent.
